Job summary

GoodShip is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to develop their internal platform, enhancing the productivity and reliability of their engineering teams. In this vital role, you'll tackle operational bottlenecks and elevate the engineering experience through automation and tooling.

This position offers remote work and excellent compensation, including health benefits and equity ownership. Ideal candidates should have substantial experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role.
• Experience designing, deploying, and operating production workloads on AWS.
• Ability to manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the internal platform that powers engineering at GoodShip.
• Improve developer experience and streamline deployment workflows.
• Implement observability across the platform using monitoring tools.
• Partner with product engineering to improve data reliability.
