Solace is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our platform engineering team and shape the infrastructure powering the future of healthcare. You will enable product and data engineers to deploy daily, build self-healing systems, and recover from failures with minimal supervision.

You are a systems generalist who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, loves digging into architectural details, communicates clearly with stakeholders, and owns issues from discovery to resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience in startup or rapid-growth environments.
• Proven ability to build scalable cloud infrastructure for web apps and data workloads.
• Deep troubleshooting across architecture layers with and without time pressure.
• Fluent with Linux and the command line.
• Clear, proactive communication with stakeholders.
• Experience with GCP/AWS/Azure; GCP preferred; GitOps familiarity.
• Understanding networking (VPCs, subnets, DNS, load balancers).
• Familiar with observability tools like Datadog and OpenTelemetry.

Responsibilities

• Build out cloud infrastructure and application platform.
• Assess risk and impact of live changes.
• Join on-call rotation.
• Troubleshoot complex tech, governance, and people interactions.
• Design autonomous self-healing processes.
• Serve as a resource for product and data engineers.
• Communicate with stakeholders and platform customers.
