Solace is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our platform engineering team and help build the infrastructure powering the future of health care. You will enable product and data engineers to deploy daily, design self-healing systems, and own critical infrastructure in a fast-paced startup.

You are a generalist who thrives on ownership, communicates clearly, and can work from architecture to low-level foundations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a startup environment.
• Experience building scalable infrastructure for hosting web apps or data workloads.
• Deep troubleshooting across architecture and abstractions.
• Fluent on the command line and Linux.
• Strong communication skills.
• Cloud infrastructure experience with GCP, AWS or Azure (GCP preferred).
• Networking fundamentals (VPCs, subnets, DNS, load balancers).
• Observability with tools like Datadog/OpenTelemetry.
• Willingness to learn and own problems end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Help build out our cloud infrastructure and application platform.
• Assess risk and impact for changes to the live environment.
• Join the on-call rotation.
• Troubleshoot problems from complex tech, governance, and people interactions.
• Design and build autonomous self-healing processes.
• Mentor and support product and data engineers in your focus areas.
• Communicate with stakeholders and internal platform customers.
