Astronomer is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Platform Engineering team in New York, NY. This role will directly influence the development of Astro, Observe, and other products. You will be responsible for high-quality decisions in building production infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience in observability principles and technologies, including SLI/SLO definition and tracking.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Golang and in-depth experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience working on a SaaS/PaaS product across multiple cloud providers.

Responsibilities

• Influence how we build Astro, Observe and our IDE product.
• Make data-driven decisions on production platform development.
• Participate in incident management and create internal documentation.
