Job summary

Astronomer is seeking a Software Engineer for the Core Platform to build and maintain the backbone of Astro's Public API, authentication, billing, and alerting systems. You will collaborate with frontend, product, and customers to deliver robust backend services on Kubernetes and Go.

You'll work on scalable data orchestration components, explore AI-assisted development, and push for reliability, performance, and maintainability in production systems powering data products worldwide.

Qualifications

• Backend experience building scalable, reliable services.
• Strong collaboration across product and engineering teams.
• Experience with Go, Kubernetes, and API development.
• Familiarity with SQL databases (PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of distributed systems concepts and AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities
