Job summary

DraftKings in the Boston area seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to design and scale infrastructure enabling engineering teams to deliver software reliably at scale using C#/.NET Core, Kubernetes, GitOps, and cloud technologies.

You will build and maintain platform capabilities, automate deployments, improve observability, and mentor peers, partnering with teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, ideally with C# and .NET Core.
• Experience building distributed systems and microservices.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and container deployment experience.
• Understanding of SDLC and debugging in distributed environments.
• Familiarity with GitOps deployment practices.
• Experience with AWS or GCP.
• Observability with Datadog or ELK.
• Experience with performance testing is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain platform capabilities used by engineers.
• Develop clean, scalable C#/.NET Core software.
• Improve platform infrastructure through automation for reliable delivery.
• Manage Kubernetes environments and automate deployments with Helm.
• Apply GitOps to improve deployment automation and reliability.
• Build solutions for distributed systems with focus on scalability and resiliency.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed environments.
• Partner with teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers.
• Improve observability and deployment strategies for operational excellence.
