Job summary

iCloud Foundation is seeking an experienced software engineer to build the platform layer for Apple’s cloud services. You will shape API and library design used by Apple engineers, handling scale and multi-tenant considerations in a small team with broad ownership.

The role requires senior-level expertise in distributed systems, concurrency, and platform software that other teams rely on. You will collaborate with the engineering leader to drive project outcomes with clear constraints.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industry experience designing, implementing, and operating highly scalable distributed systems.
• Deep working experience with programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Go.
• Expertise in programming in concurrent and multi-threaded environments.
• Experience building platform software that other engineering teams depend on, including API design, versioning, and migration.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent related experience.
