Job summary

Tiger Data, formerly Timescale, operates a fully remote, cloud-first PostgreSQL platform. You will join a distributed team building and maintaining Kubernetes-based clusters and cloud infrastructure powering the Tiger Cloud service.

Responsibilities include stable control plane maintenance, incident response, and engineering features for platform reliability, observability, and tooling in a fast-moving, globally distributed organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of Go in production environments.
• 2+ years of Kubernetes operations (building, debugging, scaling clusters).
• Experience with distributed systems and microservice architectures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stability of the control plane and distributed microservice architecture interacting with Kubernetes and cloud provider APIs.
• Debug and resolve complex Kubernetes issues across regions and clouds; automate lifecycle operations for databases.
