Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Enterprise Data Platform Engineering Team to build our next-generation Operational Data Store (ODS) powering real-time payments, fraud detection, and merchant servicing at scale.

You will shape technical direction, drive reliability, and enable self-service provisioning while collaborating with architects, product teams, and engineers to deliver secure, high-performance data solutions across the globe.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Hands-on expertise with distributed NoSQL databases and data-serving platforms.
• Strong experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience automating infrastructure using IaC, CI/CD, and cloud-native technologies.
• Collaborative, ownership-driven mindset to influence technical decisions across teams.

Responsibilities

• Shape the future of real-time payments data by designing core platform capabilities for low-latency access to operational data.
• Drive platform reliability and performance by optimizing latency, scalability, and resiliency.
