Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Enterprise Data Platform Engineering Team. You will help design and build the next-generation Operational Data Store powering real-time payments, fraud prevention, and merchant servicing at scale.

You will influence architectural decisions and turn proof-of-concept work into production-ready solutions. You will own core platform capabilities, optimize latency and throughput, automate provisioning and governance, and collaborate across

Qualifications

Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
Hands-on experience with distributed NoSQL databases and data-serving platforms with low-latency access patterns.
Strong experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures, including streaming data pipelines and schema management.
Automation of infrastructure and operational processes using IaC, CI/CD, and cloud-native technologies.
Collaborative, ownership-driven mindset influencing technical decisions and cross-team alignment.

Responsibilities
