Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer- Platform / Linux Engineering to drive design and delivery of high-performance Linux-based compute and infrastructure platforms for electronic trading. You will write code, automate tooling, and architect deployments from hardware to the network, while mentoring teams and advancing AI-assisted engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with strong practical experience (5+ years).
• Proficiency building production-grade tooling and automation in Python/Go/Bash.
• Deep Linux engineering expertise including kernel tuning for low-latency environments.
• Experience with kernel-bypass networking and configuration management (Chef/Ansible).
• Experience applying AI-assisted development tools and governance in engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate high-performance Linux platforms for low-latency trading.
• Architect new system designs and deployment models including immutable infrastructure and automation pipelines.
• Perform deep performance engineering to reduce latency across hardware, kernel, and networking layers.
• Write production-grade code and automation to improve tooling and reliability.
• Mentor teams and drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and governance.
