Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking a full-time Engineer to join the ICE OpenShift container platform team in Atlanta.

You will drive enablement to migrate high-performance applications into a microservices model using container technologies, collaborating with development, engineering, and operations teams. You will design and operate Kubernetes/OpenShift infrastructure, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to automation, observability, and cost management to ensure reliable

Qualifications

Degree in engineering or equivalent experience in Platform Engineering.
5+ years of experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift in production.
Understanding of Kubernetes components and CNI/CSI/ingresses.
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Ability to work in a service-oriented team environment.

Responsibilities

Design, build, support, and maintain Kubernetes and OpenShift platform infrastructure
Assist in design, planning and implementation of container infrastructure solutions
Capacity planning, tuning, policy and cost management
Provide technical analysis and implement solutions
Coordinate with developers, operations staff, and end-users
Educate and mentor platform consumers and team members
Participate in weekly on-call rotation for after-hours support
Respond to production operations in a 24/7 environment
