Job summary
Sunflower Bank, N.A. seeks a Principal Platform Engineer in Phoenix to define the technology vision for Platform Engineering within its IT modernization program.
You will lead the Internal Developer Platform and shared services, enabling secure, self-service, and auditable patterns for rapid delivery of banking capabilities. As a technical strategist and hands-on leader, you will partner with Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Data, and Application teams to modernize the technology
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years in software/platform engineering or related roles with progressive responsibility.
- Proven track record delivering enterprise-grade platforms and tooling at scale.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the Platform Engineering strategy and roadmap.
- Lead the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) development and governance.
- Establish secure-by-design golden paths and platform standards.
- Partner with Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Data, and Application teams to modernize the technology estate.
- Drive SRE practices, observability, automation, and cost transparency.
