Job summary

Istari Digital is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Integrations Platform team. The role centers on owning the edge agent ecosystem that runs on customer machines to enable end-to-end workflows and tool integration across engineering environments.

You’ll influence architecture, drive scalable features, and mentor engineers while collaborating with cross-functional partners to ship reliable, observable platforms that customers can trust and adopt quickly.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in distributed systems, developer platforms, or integrations frameworks.
• Ownership of architecture end-to-end for significant features or subsystems.
• Strong coding ability across backend services, SDKs, developer tooling, and agent-based systems (Python, Go, Java, C#, TS/React).
• Experience with edge platforms—Windows, Linux, macOS—with OS-specific considerations.
• Experience with multiple orchestration models for distributed systems (DAG schedulers, event-driven, actor, queue-based).
• Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted development or agentic workflows.
• Leadership and mentorship—growing engineers and shaping practices within teams.
• Excellent communication skills for influencing technical decisions.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident living within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of major features within the Integrations Platform (SDKs, agents, pipelines) from inception to production.
• Advance the integration authoring experience, including AI-enabled workflows for scalable authoring.
• Champion reliability, scalability, and observability across the agent ecosystem.
• Build developer tooling, packages, and libraries to reduce friction and accelerate adoption.
• Collaborate with product, platform, and customer success teams to translate customer needs into designs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship through reviews and hands-on guidance.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning workflow orchestration, service scaling, and job orchestration.
• Evaluate new technologies and frameworks for integration authoring and platform capabilities.
