Job summary

Istari is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for the Integrations Platform team. You will own the edge agent that runs on customer machines and enables end-to-end workflows by integrating with engineering tools.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in distributed systems or developer platforms.
• Experience owning architecture end-to-end for significant features or subsystems.
• Strong coding ability across backend services, SDKs, and agent-based systems.
• Experience with edge platforms on Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Experience with multiple orchestration models for distributed systems.
• Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted development or agentic workflows.
• Strong reliability, security, and performance focus for developer platforms.
• Technical leadership and mentorship within teams.
• Excellent communication skills and cross-team influence.
• US citizen or permanent resident living in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of major features and projects within the Integrations Platform—SDKs, agents, and pipelines.
• Drive evolution of the integration authoring experience, including AI-enabled workflows.
• Champion reliability, scalability, and observability across the agent ecosystem.
• Build developer tooling and libraries to reduce friction for integration development.
• Partner with product, platform, and customer success teams to translate customer needs into designs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship through reviews and guidance.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning workflow orchestration and service scaling.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for integration authoring and platform capabilities.
