Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to advance the Platform Technology roadmap and serve as a technical liaison across the enterprise. You will design and deploy healthcare interoperability solutions, implement robust backend using Java/.NET, and build responsive front-ends with React for clinicians and patients.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in SDLC alignment with PDLC, and mentor team members while ensuring secure, compliant data exchange on GCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent with 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience.
• 3-5 years working in environments using Agile software development principles.
• Proven full-stack engineering experience with emphasis on healthcare interoperability.
• Backend: Java and/or .NET for API design/implementation.
• Frontend: React and related frameworks (NextJS) for responsive interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with GCP and cloud-native development.
• Familiarity with HL7, FHIR and OMOP interoperability standards.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply well-architected frameworks to design and deploy foundational functions of Mayo Clinic Platform.
• Design, develop and maintain healthcare interoperability solutions for secure data exchange.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Implement robust backend solutions using Java and/or .NET with data integrity and security.
• Develop front-end applications using React for user-friendly interfaces for clinicians and patients.
• Integrate third-party healthcare systems and data sources into the platform.
• Work with cloud architects to deploy solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
