Job summary

AvidXchange is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to drive cloud cost optimization and FinOps initiatives in a hybrid Charlotte-based role. You’ll work with SRE, Engineering, Product, and Finance to reduce waste and automate optimization across Cloud Solutions.

The role emphasizes IaC, CI/CD, Kubernetes (AKS), and cost forecasting, with hands-on cloud native development in Azure/AWS and strong collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree required with 2–5 years of related experience.
• Experience with writing production code using Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with IaC/Configuration as Code, Git, and cloud provisioning tools.
• Experience building Cloud Native apps on major public clouds and implementing observability.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maturity of our FinOps software application.
• Eliminate waste and automate optimization opportunities across Cloud Solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design cost-effective services and identify cost reductions.
• Develop infrastructure architecture changes and assist with cloud cost forecasting.
• Create KPIs to measure cloud financial operation effectiveness in delivery lifecycle.
