Job summary

C3 AI is looking for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer - Platform to join our Platform Engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain the core platform features, frameworks, and development tools used to build enterprise‑scale AI applications.

Your work will support application development, platform scalability, and engineering productivity across the company. You will collaborate with software engineering and product teams to own features end-to-end, from design through

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and scripting/automation languages such as Python, Shell, or Groovy.
• Experience designing, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines, build systems, release automation, and testing workflows.
• Familiarity with Terraform and cloud environment provisioning or management.
• Familiarity with Go for tooling or platform development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core platform services, frameworks, and developer tools used across an enterprise-scale AI platform.
• Design and maintain robust automation for testing, integration, and deployment across a distributed development organization.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation to provision, manage, and improve cloud environments.
• Build and maintain internal tools and services that improve engineering productivity, developer experience, and operational efficiency.
• Support engineering workflows, release automation, version control integration, code validation, and platform rule enforcement.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and operational quality of platform services and automation systems.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality platform capabilities.
• Own features end-to-end, including design, documentation, implementation, testing, maintenance, and mentoring engineers.
