You will operate on AWS, write concise technical documentation, and mentor others while balancing speed with reliability in a manufacturing-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with leadership of a significant system or domain.
• Ownership of problem space end to end with minimal direction required.
• Strong Python and production React; experience building and operating AWS-based apps.
• Depth in API design, data modeling, integration patterns, and service boundaries.
• Clear, concise technical writing for specs, design docs, and PRs.
• Sophisticated use of AI coding agents with full ownership of results.

Responsibilities

• Own a domain of Redwood OS end to end: shape the problem, design, ship, and operate in production.
• Turn ambiguous business asks into clear specifications for engineers and AI agents.
• Make tradeoff-aware design decisions across service boundaries and data models.
• Set the bar in code review, using AI effectively, and ensuring quality at volume.
• Keep the platform coherent as multiple engineers and agents change it in parallel.
• Debug and resolve production issues, improving reliability of owned systems.
