Job summary

N-iX is seeking aSenior Platform Engineer/EKS to join our team in a role spanning production-grade Kubernetes management, hybrid cloud architectures, and AI/ML workloads. You will design, deploy, and operate EKS clusters across AWS and on-prem environments, implement GitOps with Argo CD, and optimize security and governance in a fast-paced, international client setting.

Qualifications

4+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE focusing on enterprise Kubernetes/EKS.
Deep expertise with Amazon EKS, EKS Hybrid Nodes, Cilium CNI, and hybrid networking.
Experience with Karpenter autoscaling and Bottlerocket OS.
Hands-on EMR-on-EKS for Spark runtimes.

Responsibilities

Design, provision, and maintain production-grade Amazon EKS clusters across AWS and on-prem environments using EKS Hybrid Nodes.
Implement dynamic node autoscaling with Karpenter and immutable Bottlerocket images for cloud and hybrid nodes.
Configure EMR-on-EKS runtimes for distributed data processing.
Manage GPU node pools for AI/ML workloads including LLM/SLM, and low-latency speech inference.
Implement GitOps CD workflows with Argo CD and Helm across clusters.
Enforce Kubernetes security with OPA/Kyverno, RBAC, and secret management.
