Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is building a broad, scalable cloud platform. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate distributed services on the Exec Service team, focusing on APIs, orchestration, and Kubernetes‑based execution infrastructure.

You will own features end‑to‑end, contribute to security hardening and observability, and collaborate across OCI service teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience building and operating distributed services.
• Strong development experience in Java, C++, C#, Go, or a similar language.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, OS, networking, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience designing, implementing, and launching major features in production services.
• Experience operating production services, including monitoring, incident response, and root‑cause analysis.
• Understanding of databases, persistence layers, NoSQL, or distributed storage.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and operate major features for OCI Exec Service.
• Build and improve distributed service components such as APIs and orchestration workflows.
• Contribute to Kubernetes‑based execution infrastructure and lifecycle management.
• Improve service reliability via monitoring, alerts, dashboards, and automated remediation.
• Participate in production operations, including on‑call support and incident response.
• Collaborate with OCI teams to deliver platform capabilities and security hardening.
