Job summary

IPSY is seeking a senior Platform Engineer to advance shared libraries, gateway services, and AI-enabled product capabilities. You will own Next.js/TypeScript and React-based foundations, partner with Infra/SRE/Security, and drive reliability across the web and mobile platforms.

You will design and maintain core services, ensure scalable deployments on AWS and cloud platforms, and implement observability with Datadog while expanding experimentation with Statsig and Amplitude.

Qualifications

• 6+ years developing platform or full-stack applications in JavaScript/TypeScript with Next.js and React.
• Experience designing and maintaining shared libraries, common services, or internal platform components used by multiple teams.
• Hands-on Kong API Gateway experience, including LUA scripting.
• Experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, and deployments on Netlify or Vercel.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog) and analytics/experimentation platforms (Statsig, Amplitude).
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration with Infrastructure, SRE, and security teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain shared components, libraries, and services for frontend teams.
• Operate and optimize Kong API Gateway services and cloud deployments on AWS, Netlify, and Jenkins.
• Build and support the React Native mobile app ecosystem and platform reliability.
• Implement monitoring and observability using Datadog for health and incident readiness.
• Evolve analytics/experimentation with Statsig and Amplitude for data-informed decisions.
• Drive performance improvements and identify bottlenecks across platform services.
• Contribute tooling for AI-enabled product capabilities with safe integration.
