Job summary

SmarterDX is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own the AWS and Kubernetes foundation underpinning clinical AI workloads. You will design Terraform modules behind the CI/CD pipeline and helm interfaces used to ship software to Kubernetes.

Collaborate with product, security, and engineering to improve delivery, observability, and data security, while advancing runtimes for Node.js, React, and Next.js applications. The role is fully remote within the United States with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Full-lifecycle development and debugging experience in Python, Go, and JavaScript/TypeScript environments.
• Proven experience in web-based software development.
• Drive to improve processes and advocate for simpler, faster deployments.
• Knowledge of platforms, data movement, API design standards, and operational best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the AWS and Kubernetes footprint for simplicity and scale.
• Design Terraform modules, Helm charts, and GitHub Actions workflows for platform ops.
• Implement monitors and runbooks to keep the environment stable.
• Build agent skills and apply generative AI to daily work.
• Refactor code into reusable, versioned libraries.
• Protect data segregation while minimizing complexity for clients.
• Collaborate on a CI/CD pipeline with security and product engineers.
• Provide runtimes and deployment patterns for Node.js, React, and Next.js apps.
• Stay current on tooling and drive continuous improvement.
