Job summary

LMI is seeking a Platform Engineer to support IronSled, a secure PaaS for federal environments. You will design, deploy, and operate cloud-native infrastructure with a focus on DevSecOps and reliability.

Join a cross-functional team responsible for automating delivery pipelines, maintaining scalable services, and strengthening security postures in a fast-paced government contracting setting. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

7–10 years in DevSecOps engineering, platform engineering, or related field.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
5+ years Python development including automation for infra and operations.
Strong Unix/Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
Experience building automated CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD).
Experience with containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.

Responsibilities

Participate in full lifecycle of platform services: design, development, deployment, operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
Design, build, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines for reliable, secure delivery.
Apply DevSecOps to security scanning, tests, and compliance in pipelines.
Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate infrastructure operations.
Monitor production services for availability, latency, and reliability.
Manage containerized apps and Kubernetes environments (EKS, AKS, GKE, etc.).
Implement release management, versioning, upgrades, and rollbacks.
Collaborate with dev and infra teams to improve deployment practices and platform performance.
Identify opportunities to improve scalability, reliability, and velocity through automation.
