Job summary

Aflac, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking a senior software/Workday-enabled engineer. You will support architectural design and maintenance for platform environments, lead integrations, and ensure security and compliance across COTS, SaaS, and ERP components.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in computer science or related field and 4+ years’ release/practice experience, with Workday familiarity. Hybrid/remote options are available within the continental US.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or other related experience.
Four or more years of experience in release practices and environments or other related experience.
Equivalents accepted: combination of education and experience.
Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides support on architectural design and maintenance of the platform’s (COTS, SaaS, ERP) environment with distributed components
Ensures compliance with the organization's requirements through the implementation of, auditing of, and adherence to policies, procedures, and security standards
Plans software upgrades, patching, & plugin installations in accordance with established policies and procedures
Monitors performance, resolves problems, & manages component capacity issues
Design, test, develop, configure, & maintain integrations to platform’s applications
Adhere to the platform’s security and coding standards for resilience, data, and security
Review business requirements to deploy the best solution, including configuring, coding, & debugging
Work closely with cross-functional departments to communicate statuses & technical proposals
Deploy and configure platform applications tailored to company needs
Design technical solutions, configure/customize, test, maintain the platform applications to meet company requirements
Performs other duties as required
