Job summary

Talentify is recruiting on behalf of a Kansas City-based, 100% employee-owned engineering, architecture, and construction firm for a Senior Platform Engineer contract position. The role focuses on leading DevOps automation, platform reliability, and developer experience across multi-team environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in technology, business, or related field or applicable years of experience may be substituted.
• 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure and IaC (Terraform or Pulumi).

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps practices and automation strategy for infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
• Design and deliver scalable platform architectures and improve developer experience.
• Own and drive CI/CD pipelines and tooling choices.
• Define SLO/SLI frameworks and lead incident response and post-mortems.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring and team development.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to document decisions.
