Job summary

Bot Auto is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Core Platforms to own the systems behind our autonomous driving software. You will steer build and packaging toolchains (Conan/CMake), CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes infrastructure, connecting cloud to the vehicle.

This hands-on technical leadership role emphasizes security, observability, and scalable releases across autonomy repositories. As a senior engineer, you will review code, set standards, and mentor teammates while working across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years hands-on software engineering in build systems, infrastructure, or platform engineering
• Strong Python and C++ skills; experience with Go, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with C++ build tools (CMake, Conan, or Bazel) and Docker
• Kubernetes and at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Designing backend services, APIs, databases, and event-driven systems
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, secrets management, and secure design

Responsibilities

• Design and support event-driven architecture and streaming platforms.
• Develop and operate API gateways for secure, scalable access.
• Build backend services for artifact management, fleet data, and operations.
• Develop on-vehicle edge services connecting trucks to cloud platforms.
• Implement identity, access control, and least-privilege across services and devices.
• Manage certificate and key materials, including mTLS between cloud and vehicle.
• Oversee the C++ build, dependency tooling, and packaging across repositories.
• Maintain container image pipelines, including CUDA/TensorRT toolchains.
• Review code and write ADRs and design specs across teams.
• Participate in on-call and durable long-term fixes.
• Mentor engineers and raise the bar on testing and operational excellence.
