Bot Auto is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Operation Platforms to architect and build the backbone of autonomous trucking operations. You will design core models, state machines, and services powering loads, legs, missions, and trips across digital and physical domains.

This hands-on tech lead role emphasizes reliability, observability, and agent-assisted automation to improve fleet safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Eng, or equivalent.
• 5+ years backend or full-stack production experience.
• Proficient in Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript.
• Experience designing distributed systems and state machines.
• Solid knowledge of APIs, databases, and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Architect core operation platforms and services for scheduling, dispatch, and fleet tools.
• Design object models, state machines, and lifecycle logic for Load, Leg, Mission, Trip.
• Ensure safe, observable workflows and edge vehicle integration.
• Build real-time operator tooling and dashboards for dispatchers and remote assistants.
• Collaborate with autonomy, operations, product, and physical-layer teams.
• Drive engineering quality, testing, observability, and mentorship.
