Job summary

Zoox is seeking an experienced engineer to own and operate the deployment platform that moves changes from merge to production. You will define the paved path for continuous delivery and partner with application teams and SRE to scale our autonomous vehicle software stack.

You will set the bar for safe production release practices, mentor teammates, and reduce friction in the deployment process to accelerate delivery across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in platform, infrastructure, or production operations.
• Hands-on experience with a continuous deployment system in a large organization (Harness preferred; ArgoCD/Spinnaker).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container deployments.
• Expertise with Python, Go, or Bash, and with Terraform and Helm.
• Excellent customer-facing skills, turning vague problems into concrete plans with measurable outcomes.
• Judgment to self-direct when problem statements are unwritten and to distinguish high-impact requests.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability and operational excellence of our deployment platform.
• Build and own the paved path for continuous delivery, and own the safety net that makes the platform trustworthy.
• Work cross-functionally with application teams and SRE to move services onto the paved path, turning recurring friction into platform capability.
• Set the technical bar for how code is shipped safely to production, and mentor the engineers around you.
