Job summary

AVEVA is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to enhance their Trusted Container Registry platform in San Leandro, CA. This role involves building secure workflows, automating processes, and ensuring compliance in the development lifecycle.

The successful candidate will have strong experience with containers and CI/CD, alongside proficiency in scripting or programming solutions. This position is hybrid, requiring onsite presence for collaboration.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with containers, registries, and OCI image workflows.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm charts, or cloud-native infrastructure.
• Experience with container security tools.
• Solid Linux systems engineering and debugging skills.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language.
• Experience working in DevOps or platform engineering.
• Working experience with object-oriented programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and improve the Trusted Container Registry (TCR).
• Develop automation for image ingestion, tagging, scanning, and publishing.
• Implement security controls such as vulnerability scanning.
• Enhance developer experience with vetted base images.
• Support onboarding for engineering teams adopting TCR.
• Collaborate closely with Product Security for secure operations.
• Contribute to registry auditability and compliance initiatives.
