Job summary

Kaiser Permanente seeks a senior technical leader to advance the enterprise Container Platform and Adoption Services across on-premises and public-cloud environments. This hands-on role focuses on reusable platform capabilities, automation, production support, and scalable deployment practices for healthcare solutions.

You will mentor engineers, define infrastructure direction, and help applications achieve reliability, security, and compliance while modernizing workloads and expanding

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related discipline, plus 8+ years IT operations experience.
• Equivalent work experience may substitute the degree.
• Technical experience in distributed technologies, systems development, and/or networking.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on IT infrastructure planning, engineering, and architecture for assigned systems.
• Define the technical direction for infrastructure solutions and advise project teams throughout the system development lifecycle.
• Lead or support business-specific initiatives by planning work, coordinating resources, meeting deadlines, and resolving complex issues.
• Partner with cross-functional IT and business teams to troubleshoot complex systems and make informed technical decisions.
• Translate business, functional, and non-functional requirements into technical specifications for integrated and sustainable infrastructure designs.
• Ensure system designs align with architectural standards and support scalable, flexible, and maintainable solutions.
• Document and maintain standards, guidelines, processes, and procedures for introducing and operating services.
• Mentor other technical team members and review technical documentation for complex solutions.
• Evaluate IT trends, benchmark technologies, and recommend resources needed to maintain service levels and support new demand.
• Help guide physical architecture design for new initiatives and drive continuous service improvement.
