Job summary

Medica is seeking a Senior Platform & Integration Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, cloud-native platforms supporting real-time data processing and microservices orchestration. You will own Kafka deployments, AKS clusters, CI/CD pipelines, and observability, partnering with security, infrastructure, and application teams to advance platform modernization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• 5+ years of in platform engineering, cloud operations, or enterprise integration.
• Hands-on expertise with Kafka, Confluent Cloud, AKS/Kubernetes, Azure, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Azure resource management, cloud deployments, and network troubleshooting.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Experience with containerization, distributed systems, and deployment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and optimize Kafka platforms in on-prem and Confluent Cloud.
• Manage AKS/Kubernetes platforms, including cluster admin, networking, RBAC, autoscaling.
• Serve as Azure Cloud Administrator for provisioning and config.
• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Drive IaC and automation for provisioning and deployment.
• Implement observability using Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Lead incident management and continuous service improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance cloud modernization.
