Job summary

Medica Services Company LLC is seeking a Senior Platform & Integration Engineer to provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise in Kafka, AKS, Kubernetes, Azure cloud services, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and cloud-native platform engineering.

This role focuses on driving scalable, secure enterprise platforms, supporting real-time data processing, and guiding teams toward reliability and automation. Onsite in Minnetonka, MN with a strong emphasis on collaboration and modernization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
• 5+ years in platform engineering, cloud operations, or enterprise integration
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Confluent Cloud, AKS/Kubernetes, Azure, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions
• Experience with Azure resource management, cloud deployments, and network troubleshooting
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Experience with containerization, distributed systems, and deployment strategies

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and optimize Kafka platforms across on-premises and Confluent Cloud with high availability and security
• Manage AKS and Kubernetes platforms including cluster admin, networking, RBAC, autoscaling, secrets
• Serve as Azure Cloud Administrator for provisioning, deployment, and configuration
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
• Drive automation through scripting and IaC to improve provisioning and deployment
• Enhance observability and monitoring with Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana
• Lead incident management: root cause analysis and continuous service improvement
• Establish platform governance, security controls, and best practices across cloud and integration platforms
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship in Kafka, Kubernetes, Azure, and DevOps
