Job summary

Medica is seeking a Senior Platform & Integration Engineer to provide technical leadership in Kafka, AKS/Kubernetes, and Azure cloud services, driving scalable, secure enterprise platforms. The role focuses on event‑driven architecture, cloud modernization, and automation across teams.

Ideal candidates will have hands‑on experience with Kafka across on‑prem and Confluent Cloud, plus strong scripting and CI/CD capabilities to support reliable, observable platforms and rapid delivery of services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of work experience beyond degree.
• 5+ years in platform engineering, cloud operations, or enterprise integration.
• Hands-on with Kafka, Confluent Cloud, AKS/Kubernetes, Azure, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and optimize Kafka platforms across on‑premises and Confluent Cloud.
• Manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Kubernetes platforms, including cluster admin, networking, RBAC, autoscaling, and security.
• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Drive automation using IaC to improve provisioning and deployment.
• Implement observability using Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana for reliability.
• Lead incident management and continual service improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to advance cloud modernization and platform engineering.
