Job summary

Swift is seeking a highly experienced platform Software Engineer to build, scale, and maintain a mission critical data science platform. You will design backend services, APIs, and microservices in a Linux environment, focusing on performance, reliability, and security.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
10+ years building and operating software or platform systems.
Strong proficiency in Java, Python, SQL databases and AWS.
Experience with microservices and distributed system design.
Cloud deployment and containerized environments a must.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices in a Linux-based environment.
Contribute to architecture of large-scale distributed systems with focus on performance and security.
Develop and deploy services in cloud environments.
Work with relational databases to support high-volume applications.
Containerize services and optimize runtime across the platform.
Troubleshoot production issues and enhance system monitoring and reliability.
