Job summary

Swift is seeking a high-performing DevOps Engineer to perform software engineering and O&M support for a large cloud-based platform. You will deploy environments and tools to support the data science community, create standalone apps and services, and lead efforts to access the platform in secure environments.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in DevOps with Linux scripting, container orchestration, and experience with AWS or cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in DevOps/Software engineering.
• Proficiency in Linux incl. scripting (Bash, Python) and service management.
• Experience deploying apps on AWS (preferred), Azure or Google Cloud.
• Experience with deployment automation and CI tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
• Strong understanding of SDLC and version control (Git).
• Experience with build/deploy pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, Nexus).
• Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, Marathon).
• Experience working with software development teams under source control environments.
• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure and system administration.
• Support system operations and maintenance.
• Monitor system health and create solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
• Assist with security scans and accreditation activities.
• Manage system accounts and credentials.
• Maintain updated repositories across fabrics.
• Manage backup and restore for core services.
