Job summary

Honor Technology is seeking a senior Platform Engineer in the United States to build scalable cloud-native foundations. You will design libraries for Python apps, drive IaC patterns, and shape infrastructure on AWS with Kubernetes and serverless components.

You will own automation across CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/ArgoCD), observability with CloudWatch and DataDog, and cost-aware scaling. The role emphasizes quality, security, and reliability while mentoring teammates in a fast-growing startup

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years in a platform engineering role within a product-centric company.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and software design patterns.
• Proficient in Kubernetes containerization.
• Proficient in Python development.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD.
• Experience with observability tools (CloudWatch or DataDog).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement foundational patterns and libraries for Python applications.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for reproducible and scalable environment setups.
• Design and implement infrastructure for applications hosted on AWS, including Kubernetes and serverless functions.
• Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and ArgoCD.
• Automate the lifecycle management of code from development through production.
• Instrument observability through CloudWatch and DataDog to monitor application performance.
• Scale infrastructure to meet increasing demand while managing cost effectively.
• Define and measure standards for quality, security, scalability, and availability.
