Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to build and mentor in a fast-paced DevOps environment. You will drive a major transformation by delivering scalable, reliable automation across AWS, containers, and development tools.

Work with Agile teams to design, test, and support end-to-end solutions, mentor engineers, and stay ahead of technology trends. The role requires leadership experience and a passion for inclusive, iterative delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 6 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory).
• At least 4 years of experience with AWS.
• At least 2 years of team leadership experience.
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience with AWS.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Understand desired application capabilities with product owners.
• Continuously improve software engineering practices.
• Design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies.
• Lead craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions.
