Job summary

Capital One seeks a Lead Platform Engineer to build and support DevOps tools in a fast-paced, Agile environment. You will drive platform craftsmanship, scalability, and resilience while mentoring engineers and exploring new technologies across a broad stack including Python, SQL, Ruby, Groovy, Docker, ECS, Ansible, Terraform, and AWS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 6 years of experience with build/deploy tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
• At least 4 years of AWS experience
• At least 2 years of team leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Work with product owners to understand application capabilities and testing scenarios
• Continuously improve software engineering practices
• Design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across tools and technologies
• Lead craft, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions
• Mentor other engineers and stay current with tech trends
• Encourage innovation and inclusion, teamwork and self-organization
• Utilize Python, SQL, Ruby, Groovy; Docker/ECS; Ansible/Terraform; and AWS services
