Job summary

The Briefed in Boston is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to advance our deployment infrastructure, focusing on MongoDB products, Argo Workflows/CD, and multi-cloud Kubernetes. You will help scale CI/CD and own onboarding for new products across the team.

You’ll work on-site with a small, highly capable team, contribute to open-source efforts, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure reliable delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development and distributed systems experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar language.
• Proven experience building and operating large-scale CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using and extending Kubernetes and other containerization technologies.
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Understanding of Linux internals and networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, routing).
• Ability to work East Coast hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop a world-class continuous deployment experience for rapid, reliable shipping of MongoDB products.
• Contribute to open-source projects or build software-based approaches, such as Kubernetes operators.
• Own the onboarding flow that other engineering teams follow when launching a new product or service.
• Collaborate with other Platform Engineering teams to keep service onboarding consistent.
• Provide internal support for deployment systems, including answering questions and resolving issues.
• Join a 24/7 on-call rotation to resolve issues with the deployment infrastructure.
