Job summary

Autonomai Recruitment seeks a senior engineer to build and run the central developer platform used by a global investment firm's engineers, researchers and investment teams. You will own critical platform components, write code, and make CI/CD, source control and Kubernetes workflows faster and more reliable.

You’ll design scalable CI/CD pipelines, develop tooling in Python or Go, and operate Kubernetes platforms across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software, DevOps or platform engineering in distributed environments.
• Strong programming ability in Python or Go; comfortable designing and maintaining software.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise: deploying, managing and scaling applications.
• Significant experience designing and building CI/CD platforms and automating the software delivery lifecycle.
• Experience supporting a central developer platform used by a large engineering organization.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Kubernetes Operators).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and on-premises systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build CI/CD infrastructure that supports high-volume builds across multiple teams.
• Develop platform tooling and automation in Python or Go.
• Engineer and operate Kubernetes-based platforms across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Improve source control, artifact management and the delivery workflow.
• Build scalable APIs and infrastructure automation enabling developer autonomy.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and implement durable improvements.
• Contribute to observability, production reliability and on-call rotation.
