Job summary

Bixal Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to build and operate CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and observability for a mission-critical federal platform.

You will work hands-on with Terraform, GitLab, and Datadog to deliver golden-path templates and environment automation, supporting on-call rotations and continuous improvement. The role offers a chance to impact federal services, with a culture focused on learning, collaboration, and delivering human-centered solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining delivery pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to improve environment stability and deployment safety.
• Experience implementing monitoring and alerting for incident response and production operations.
• Strong automation skills to reduce recurring work and boost velocity.
• Ability to deliver platform improvements with measurable impact on reliability and developer productivity.
• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines and golden-path delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and Terraform templates for the engineering platform.
• Implement and maintain observability on Datadog, including instrumentation and alerting.
• Support environment automation, on-call rotations, and golden-path delivery.
• Improve environment stability, deployment safety, and configuration consistency.
• Implement monitoring and alerting to support incident response and production operations.
• Eliminate recurring operational work through automation to improve team velocity.
• Deliver platform improvements with measurable impact on reliability and developer productivity.
• Participate in two-week sprints, backlog refinement, and architecture reviews with Platform Enablement team.
