Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Platform Engineering, to lead platform initiatives for U.S.-based teams. You will bridge cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, and AI-driven SDLC in a fast-paced, cloud-native environment.

You will influence engineering strategy at scale, own a modern cloud platform, and drive AI-agent-enabled development. A strong focus on productivity, platform engineering, and AI tooling is essential for shaping future software delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years as a Software Engineer in a cloud-native, fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Proven track record of initiating, designing, implementing, and leading complex technical projects
• Strong programming expertise in Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Bash
• Experience designing and delivering scalable software solutions and developer platforms
• Strong understanding of software architecture, engineering best practices, and SDLC methodologies
• Experience improving developer workflows, productivity, and overall developer experience

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategy for an Agentic (AI-based) SDLC
• Evaluate and implement AI solutions that enhance software design, development, testing, deployment, and operational workflows
• Partner with engineering teams to translate development challenges into platform capabilities
• Design and implement scalable infrastructure, development tooling, CI/CD capabilities, and automation frameworks
• Collaborate with global Platform Engineering teams to align priorities, standards, and technical direction
• Champion engineering excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement across the lifecycle
• Research and adopt emerging technologies that improve platform capabilities and business impact

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer in a cloud-native, fast-paced environment
