Job summary

Eliassen Group in Greenwood Village, CO seeks a Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure underpinning the IIA Data Lake and AI workloads. You will develop tooling and automation to ensure scalable, secure production environments, with hybrid onsite/remote work options.

The role emphasizes IaC, cross‑account AWS design, and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and Docker, with a strong data engineering orientation.

Qualifications

• Expert experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Glue, Athena, EMR, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch.
• Infrastructure as code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Cross-account AWS architectures, VPC peering, PrivateLink, and transit gateway experience.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and automation for tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) and Docker.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and boto3 for cloud SDKs.
• Preferred: graph databases like AWS Neptune or Neo4j; and streaming platforms like Kafka/Slack.
• Experience developing and operating small services or APIs with FastAPI or Flask.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage AWS infrastructure for the IIA Data Lake including S3, Glue, Athena, and EMR.
• Manage cross-account connectivity, VPC networking, security groups, and IAM roles and policies.
• Build and maintain infrastructure for AI agent runtimes via LangSmith Deployments.
• Design event-driven infrastructure with triggers, queues, and pub/sub for agents and data workflows.
• Support deployment and operation of AWS Neptune for graph topology and performance tuning.
• Implement IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation for repeatable provisioning.
• Manage IAM policies and secrets across cloud and on‑prem integrations.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for agent deployments using GitLab CI, Docker, and Artifactory.
• Coordinate with platform teams on AI gateway integration and cross-account deployment.
• Develop Python scripts and automation utilities for ingestion, deployment, and ops.
