Job summary

Aptino, Inc. is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer VI - Data Services to design, build, and operate scalable AWS infrastructure for data lakes, AI/agent platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and graph databases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of platform/infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong AWS expertise and hands-on Terraform experience.
• Experience with Docker, GitLab CI/CD, Linux, Python, IAM, networking, and REST APIs/AWS SDK.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage AWS infrastructure using S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, EC2, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager.
• Build and maintain Terraform/CloudFormation infrastructure and secure cross-account connectivity.
• Support AI agent runtime environments, Docker containers, LangSmith Deployments, and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Develop Python-based automation, CLIs, integration services, and operational tooling.
• Support AWS Neptune/graph database infrastructure, monitoring, scaling, and performance.
• Implement production monitoring, alerting, security, incident response, and reliability practices.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer VI - Data Services to join the Infrastructure Intelligence & Analytics (IIA) team. This role will design, build, and operate scalable AWS infrastructure supporting data lakes, AI/agent platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and graph database environments.

Job Location: Saint Louis, MO or Denver, CO or Charlotte, NC

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage AWS infrastructure using S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, EC2, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager.
• Build and maintain Terraform/CloudFormation infrastructure and secure cross-account AWS connectivity.
• Support AI agent runtime environments, Docker containers, LangSmith Deployments, and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Develop Python-based automation, CLIs, integration services, and operational tooling.
• Support AWS Neptune/graph database infrastructure, monitoring, scaling, and performance.
• Implement production monitoring, alerting, security, incident response, and reliability practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of platform/infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong AWS expertise and hands-on Terraform experience.
• Experience with Docker, GitLab CI/CD, Linux, Python, IAM, networking, and REST APIs/AWS SDK (boto3).
• Strong understanding of DNS, CIDR, NAT, firewalls, security groups, VPC, PrivateLink, and Transit Gateway.
• Experience building automated tests and maintaining production-grade software and infrastructure.

Preferred:

AWS Neptune/Neo4j, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, Splunk, telecommunications/network operations, AI/ML infrastructure, and FastAPI/Flask experience.
