Job summary

Gravie is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to build and operate the platform our engineering teams ship on. You will own AWS infrastructure as code across multiple accounts, implement CI/CD pipelines, and partner with architecture to create paved paths teams actually adopt.

You will work with AI tooling, observe security in HIPAA/SOC 2 contexts, and drive adoption of platform standards. On-call responsibilities and measurable improvements are core to the role.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of software or infrastructure engineering with production ownership.
• Deep AWS knowledge: IAM, VPC routing, DNS, and serverless/container runtimes.
• Hands-on multi-account AWS experience with cost and tagging governance.
• Infrastructure as code as default: Terraform, CDK, or both.
• Strong CI/CD engineering and reusable pipelines.
• Experience in platform, infra, or developer experience teams.
• Proficient with AI tooling in daily engineering work and ownership of shipables.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the shared platform: CI/CD pipelines, templates, and tooling.
• Own AWS infrastructure as code across multiple accounts with rollback stories.
• Implement paved paths and partner with architecture on direction.
• Operate what you build: on-call, incident response, postmortems.
• Build observability: metrics, logs, traces, SLOs and alerts.
• Maintain security posture with HIPAA and SOC 2 considerations.
• Make cloud spend attributable via tagging and cost visibility.
• Use AI agents to augment code review, alerts, migrations, and remediation.
• Automate toil and reduce human-in-the-loop requests.
• Document and onboard developers; drive platform adoption and standards.
• Mentor engineers and raise the engineering bar with AI tooling.
