Job summary

Rite-Hite is hiring a senior Integration and Platform Engineer in Wisconsin to build scalable services that ingest, transform, and expose data for automation. You will design data models, own backend and frontend touchpoints, and push for secure, observable, and resilient systems.

Applicants should have 7+ years of hands-on software engineering, strong experience with event-driven architectures, REST APIs, Docker/Kubernetes, and modern web interfaces. Hybrid collaboration with teams is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering delivering production systems.
• Deep, practical experience with event-driven architectures, including messaging systems and async workflows.
• Proven experience designing and operating enterprise-scale integrations, including REST APIs, webhooks, data pipelines, and third‑party service connectivity.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Solid foundation in security fundamentals applied to APIs, data access, secrets management, and integrations.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend development, with React for interfaces.
• Active use of AI-assisted engineering tools (Copilot, Cursor) with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to enterprise-scale integration capabilities (REST APIs, webhooks, data flows).
• Design and own data models supporting services and agent-first ecosystem.
• Write production-quality code and maintain tests across the stack.
• Engage in code reviews, design sessions, and technology exploration.
• Ensure observability, resilience, and secure operations of services.
