Job summary

Cargill is seeking a Senior Professional, Platform Engineering to design, develop and maintain digital infrastructure. You will write scalable code, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and improve deployment pipelines for reliability and performance.

Responsibilities include API automation, testing, documentation, and supporting complex platform initiatives while ensuring high code quality and security standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with API management platforms such as Kong, Broadcom Layer7, Google Apigee or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of API gateway architecture, traffic management, rate limiting and security policies.
• Experience with API lifecycle management from design to retirement.
• Familiarity with authentication/authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect).
• Automation and scripting for API deployment (Python, Shell, Ansible).
• CI/CD integration and DevOps practices for API platforms.
• Monitoring/analytics for API performance (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Exposure to cloud API solutions and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong troubleshooting and leadership for complex initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead API platform initiatives and automate deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to meet business needs.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests; perform debugging and code reviews.
• Recommend and implement improvements to development and deployment processes.
• Create and maintain documentation for applications and configurations.
• Provide technical support to minimize downtime and resolve issues quickly.
