Job summary

Cargill invites a Senior Professional in Platform Engineering to design, build, and maintain digital infrastructure and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features that meet user needs and upgrade platforms for better performance, reliability, and scalability.

You will write clean, efficient code, participate in code reviews, and help drive continuous improvement and best practices across the API platforms ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Experience with API management platforms (Kong, Layer7, Apigee)
• Strong understanding of API gateway architecture, traffic management, and security policies
• Expertise in API lifecycle management (design, publish, versioning)
• Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OpenID Connect
• Proficiency in automation scripting for API deployment (Python, Shell, Ansible)
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps for API platforms
• Knowledge of monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana) and cloud/containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong troubleshooting and leadership for complex API initiatives

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines for API platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests; perform debugging and optimization.
• Suggest improvements to software development and deployment processes.
• Create and maintain documentation for complex applications and configurations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
