Job summary

Vesta is building an AI‑driven mortgage origination platform from the ground up. We are seeking a senior+ engineer who can scale distributed systems across the stack and own meaningful portions of the codebase.

You will help define engineering guidelines, participate in architectural decisions, and work in a remote‑first culture with a bay-area hub. If you love complex systems, ownership, and moving fast to ship robust software, we want you.

Qualifications

• Senior+ engineer with deep experience scaling distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL or similar relational DBs.
• Proficiency in C# or other statically typed languages (Kotlin/Go/Java).
• Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).

Responsibilities

• Scale and mature the platform to handle the mortgage market end-to-end.
• Help set guidelines and frameworks for the engineering organization.
• Own parts of the codebase across the stack and drive execution.
• Collaborate with a fast-moving team in a remote-first, startup environment.
